Nebraska’s own Juke’s is a heavy hitter and great pals in the barleywine realm and real life, and when they visited a few years ago for the first ever Woodstock beer festival held at New Groove, we had to take the opportunity to brew up something big and fun. We listened to jamgrass while we created a big munichwine brewed with Panela sugar, and then tucked it away in 6+ year old Willett bourbon barrels for 22 months. To this rich and sweet delight, we blended a portion of our own It’s A Hard Knock Life English barleywine that was aged 2 years in Willett bourbon barrels. Duke’s & Juke’s rides again!
