Description
Volume 3:Q3 is Red Daisy, a black barleywine brewed in collaboration with Prolyfk from New Bern, NC back in 2021. This rested in Blackened Metallica barrels, which were Madeira barrels used to finish Willet Family Estate bourbon. After 23 months there (you had this as Wargasm), we filled a 10yr McKenna barrel and stashed it away for another 7 months. This brings out a layer of American Oak and spirit heat on top of the French Oak and grape character, which really checks all the boxes. Oak on oak, burnt brown sugar, raisins, a little oxidation, basically a range of barleywine experiences in one glass. 16.15% abv
